A joint campout and rides with the Eugene GEARs
Where
Archie Knowles - Lane County It is located on Hwy 126 a few miles east of Mapleton. There are flush toilets, no showers, and located on a small creek. Because it is located on a busy highway all rides will have a short drive from camp to their start.
Riding
The intent of this weekend is to ride gravel. One day”s ride will be along the Siuslaw river on GS500 - Old Stagecoach Road · Ride with GPS This is a 33 mile route with 1,100 of climbing, there are spur roads along the route which could be added for more elevation. The second day’s route has not yet been decided but will involve more elevation. For those wanting more leisure rides there are several options along the area’s rivers, but most of these will be on paved low traffic roads.
