The Mid-Valley Bicycle Club Loop Tour is an annual nine day cycling & camping tour in Oregon and sometimes elsewhere in the Northwest region. The first Loop Tour was held in 1976 and it has taken place nearly every year since.
Loop Tours are only available for MVBC members.
Our 2026 tours will start and end in Albany, Oregon, riding in a counter-clockwise route. We'll head east on familiar roads past Sweet Home and Foster Reservoir and then begin the climb into the Cascades up Quartzville road, past Green Peter reservoir and Yellow Bottom, and on quiet forest roads to the Santiam highway. There we turn north and head to Detroit Lake, before setting off on the Cascading Rivers Scenic Bikeway, up the Breitenbush River and down the Clackamas River to Estacada, where we'll have our layover day at Milo McIver State Park. Then it's on to Champoeg State Park, and Silver Falls State Park on our return to Albany.
Loop 1: June 20 - 28 Loop 2: July 18 - 26
For information about this year's route go to the tours section of the MVBC website. Check out notices.looptour.org for up-to-date information about this year’s tour.
On your registration form, you will be asked to enter the number of MVBC volunteer points you have accumulated during the past 12 months. We recommend that prior to starting registration you calculate your points at volunteer-points.looptour.org. Your point number will be used to assign spots ONLY if the tours are oversubscribed. If you have not volunteered in the past 12 months, enter 0. Even if your points are 0, you can and should register during the priority period.
The cost of the 2026 Loop Tour is $270 for all adults, $135 for minors (17 and under) and adult students. SAG is now included in the registration fee, so everyone can use SAG this year to carry their gear, if desired. (See the Rider's Brochure for details on how to SAG your gear.)
Priority Registration will be open from April 1st through April 30th
If you have any questions about the registration process, email loop@mvbc.com.
